Leadership Development

Central to the educational mission at Resurrection is to provide young women with opportunities to become strong, confident leaders. Members of the Class of 2020 were inducted into the Freshmen Council at a candle lighting and induction ceremony that was held with all members of the freshmen class on November 21, 2016.

As an opportunity for students to grow into leadership positions starting from the beginning of their high school experience, one student from each Freshmen Seminar was selected to represent the Class of 2020 in regular advisory meetings with the school's principal. Congratulations to Resurrection freshmen Zuzu Al-Harbi , Malak Abu-Hashish , Maggie Duda , Jacey Gagnon and Rosemary Mullaghy  who were inducted as the Freshmen Council for the 2016-17 school year.

Shawn Mendes Concert @ Res
Friday, December 9, 2016
As students and parents know, Resurrection College Prep was announced as the winner of a once-in-a-lifetime visit from  musician  Shawn Mendes through Chegg Music 101.  Chegg , the online book company and student hub, in partnership with  one of the largest and most successful national youth tobacco prevention campaigns,
truth sponsored this contest. School administrators have been working with these organizations on specifics of the event.

Watch for the final details next week  regarding the Shawn Mendes concert at Resurrection for our students on  Friday, December 9.

Times are subject to change, but we anticipate that the event will begin after school with a pre-concert program at 3 pm, including a DJ and the presentation of a $10,000 grant for the Resurrection music department from Chegg's David B. Goldberg Music Scholarship fund. The pre-concert program will be followed by the Shawn Mendes performance at approximately 4 pm. Students will need to wear their school ID and will need to be in uniform, or they may wear their special Shawn Mendes concert t-shirts if they purchased one.
We will keep students and parents informed about the timeline for the events as soon as details are confirmed with the sponsoring organizations.   We are looking forward to a great event for our students!

Service & Compassion - An Advent Message

President's Blog & Principal's Page
Sr. Donna featured Resurrection junior Mairead Skelton on her blog recently, demonstrating the care and compassion of our students. Mairead collected over 6,000 school supplies and traveled to Baton Rouge to deliver items to children who were impacted by the devastating floods in Louisiana.
Take a look at Sr. Donna's President's blog for other news and some beautiful Advent reflections by members of the Resurrection school community.  See Mr. Piwowarski's Principal's page for a special Advent message from him.

Gala Basket & Wine Donations

The Charity & Truth Gala will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, and we are gearing up for a wonderful event. Perhaps Santa will bring you something you do not want or need for Christmas or you have lovely unused items around the house. Consider donating gift items to Res for our Charity & Truth Basket Raffl (non-seasonal items are preferred).  Bring donations to the Main Office any time - y our gift can be the gift that keeps on giving! We will also begin taking Wine Donations in January for our Gala Baskets. Please be sure to have someone 21 or older bring the wine directly to the Main Office as students are not allowed to bring in these donations.
