To See Females in Sport Win by Becoming All God Created Them to Be
Receiving Christmas
Luke 1:45

"And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord."
After Elizabeth spoke the words (among others) in the verse above to Mary upon her arrival, Mary responded with this beautiful "song"...

"My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
he has brought down the mighty from their thrones
and exalted those of humble estate;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
as he spoke to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his offspring forever."

Do you hear it? Do you hear the blessing that comes with believing and living in God's truth and promises He gives us? Mary was yet a humble servant but stood firm in God's truth. She recognized His mercy and understood His justice.

She received what God spoke to her with confidence but humbly recognized it was from God and gave Him the praise for it. And she was blessed! Listen to her pure and utter delight and joy in her King of Kings! It came from her soul.

How often do we walk around defeated simply because we do not believe and receive God's promises and desire to bless us? We lose out on so much joy and satisfaction when we walk around doubting how valuable we are to the Lord and how awesome following His ways is.

It's funny how we often hear so much about giving at Christmas, which is indeed important, but let's also not forget to receive the blessing of CHRISTmas and walk in the experience of true peace, love, hope and joy of Christ coming.

The Manly Minute:
Reconciling the male and female relationship

Sometimes we just need to be reminded...

Mary and Joseph were engaged to be married. Mary got pregnant before they got married and it wasn't with Joseph. This is what it looked like to the people around them. Imagine being Joseph in this situation.

Being the just man he was, he was going to quietly divorce her, unwilling to put her to shame. But then the angel of the Lord revealed to him the truth. He listened to the angel and still took Mary as his wife.

This was a man who first and foremost trusted and followed the Lord. In obeying the Lord, he was putting his reputation on the line and Mary ahead of himself. The people around them did not see this situation as fair, normal or right. But so much more was going on underneath the surface of what these people saw. And because God was at the center of it, it was good. It was right. It was just.

The simple reminder is this...THERE ARE MEN LIKE THIS OUT THERE. Some of us have been blessed with these kind of men. Some of us may still be waiting for that man. Some of us may need to try to see more men in a different light and not put the sins of one man on all men. Some of us need to know that a man in their life that is not like this is capable of being a God-fearing man through the transformation of Christ.

Let's forgive where we need to forgive and see men in a positive light this Christmas.
