2018 Recap
The
Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce had another wonderful year in 2018!
Events this year, from
monthly networking to the
Annual Dinner, set attendance records. We are so excited and grateful that you, our members, are finding value in these opportunities to meet with each other face to face
This year we also launched
a new member benefit, an
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with HelpPeople. This benefit allows smaller employers to take advantage of a discounted bulk rate for this service, which can be a valuable employee retention tool. The
EAP provides free and confidential assistance to your employees and their families, for everything from stress management and financial counseling to referrals for substance abuse treatment. If you are looking for your next employee retention tool, make sure to consider an
EAP! And
don't forget about the existing MEP 401(k) member benefit, which could help you
reduce fees and increase rates for your 401(k) program, as well as save larger employers thousands of dollars on plan audit fees every year.
We've also
welcomed some new team members throughout the year:
Jessica Wrench as
Education & Resource Coordinator,
Teresa Auchman as
Office Manager, and
Beonca Louis as
Communications Coordinator. We are so lucky to have them, so remember that the whole Chamber team is here to help with your business needs.
Whether you are celebrating, growing, or facing challenges,
don't forget all of the resources available here at the Chamber and 2 State Street. Chances are someone here can provide assistance or point you in the right direction. And we are just a phone call away!
As always,
I'd like to extend my sincerest gratitude to staff, board and committee members, ambassadors, sponsors, and volunteers that make everything we do possible. Furthermore, a big
thank you goes out to you for your continued membership and support! Here's to another successful year for all of us!
