Rise & Shine 25th Anniversary Breakfast
More than 100 people attended our recent breakfast celebrating our 25th anniversary. Attendees included past and present Habitat Susquehanna staff, Board members, volunteers, donors and sponsors. It was such a moving and fun time! A HUGE note of thanks goes to Mountain Christian Church for the venue, Wegman's and Sunny Day Cafe for the food, and Lowe's for the paint can centerpieces! For pictures of the festivities (taken by our awesome volunteer photographer Yvonne Alston ), please visit our Facebook page .
Lowe's Partners with Habitat for Aging in Place project
As part of a Lowe's Aging in Place grant, volunteers built an accessibility ramp for an Abingdon senior who had applied to -- and was approved to receive assistance from -- Habitat Susquehanna's Repair Program. This project is part of a larger effort for Lowe's to help improve the quality of life of older Americans in five communities nationwide.
The participating Lowe's stores that provided Lowe's Heroes volunteers for this project were Bel Air (Store #2589), North East (Store #2848) and Westminster (Store #568).
