Happy Holidays!
This time of year inspires the spirit of giving, and we are so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful and giving friends.
Recently, two Habitat Cape Cod volunteers traveled to Florida to help repair hurricane damaged homes. A team of 12 volunteered to travel to build a home with a family in Mexico (heading down in March). AND we asked you all for help in the ReStores and with
on-site devotions and boy did you come through! Thank you!
And... did everyone hear the great news out of Falmouth?
We were awarded a $70,000 grant in memory of East Falmouth resident and local philanthropist Herbert Willett, to be put toward building 10 affordable homes in Falmouth on a site purchased with a CPC grant.

TITHE PARTNER HAITI UPDATE

A home being built as part of Hurricane Matthew recovery
As 2018 comes to an end, we are happy to share the important progress made in Haiti this year.
- The homes of 346 individuals in Nippes which sustained damage during Hurricane Matthew in October 2016, were repaired.
- Through a partnership with the European Union, IOM, CESVI, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and as part of Hurricane Matthew recovery efforts, construction workers built 180 homes in Pestel, Corail, and Les Irois. Plans are underway to build additional homes!
- 172 solar lamps and 948 street signs were installed in Canaan, an area of land north of Port-au-Prince. These neighborhood development projects are vital to the creation of safe, functional communities.
- Important work around sanitation and hygiene continued with the distribution of 500 hygiene kits and the training of 9,946 individuals in hygiene practices.
