Center for Economic Education & Entrepreneurship
December 2018 newsletter

While compiling our annual report--  sifting through a year's worth of photos, figures, and feedback--  we have enjoyed the chance to thoughtfully recount our successes and reflect on how much we have to be grateful for. Giving us cause for celebration is our notable growth in constituent reach, welcomed expansion of core curricula, exciting introduction of new competitions, key collaboration with respected partners, and essential support of loyal funders like you.

Looking ahead to the New Year, trust that we will not be resting on our laurels. We are already hard at work in seeking new ways to insightfully and efficiently serve Delaware's educational community, helping both teachers and students to better set goals, survey resources, analyze choices, consider opportunity costs, track progress, discern bad habits, and affirm good behaviors. We are both enthusiastic and confident in our ability to deliver what schools need in that regard and we aspire to ignite that same passion and self-assurance in the teachers and students we serve.

Abraham Lincoln instructed us, "You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today." The stories that follow clearly show how we are embracing--  not evading--  that responsibility, proactively working alongside state and district leadership to identify how to best meet professional learning and classroom needs. And educators are taking notice, reporting on the positive change that our outreach is affecting.

Beyond the K-12 community, we offer educators throughout the world a unique chance for graduate study and invite those interested to explore that degree program. We also welcome the public to join us here on campus in February for the annual Lyons/CEEE Economic Forecast which brings together distinguished voices that influence, determine, and interpret U.S. policy. Through these varied learning opportunities, we hope to underscore the importance of economics as a framework for all decision making, both today and in all tomorrows to come.

We wish all of our friends good health and prosperity in 2019. Happy Holidays!
