Health Benefits of Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice of slow, gentle, controlled movements that reduces stress and anxiety, while increasing flexibility, concentration, balance and strength.
Cancer patients may find that practicing Tai Chi helps improve their overall feeling of well-being too. Tai Chi is a very accessible form of physical activity and “Mind-Body Practice” since it is low impact, relatively easy to learn and low cost.
Did you know that Healthy Acadia offers Tai Chi classes at the Moore Center in Ellsworth? There are also classes in Machias, Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor.
