Large and special purpose properties engagement off to a great start
London, ON, engagement session on December 3, 2019.
Over 150 large and special purpose property owners, host municipalities and other stakeholders participated in MPAC’s large and special purpose engagement sessions around the province in November and early December.

MPAC shared the assessment methodology that will be applied to all large and special purpose properties and discussed key valuation parameters that will inform 2020 assessments. We received positive feedback from participants on the collaborative approach to establishing values for the upcoming 2020 Assessment Update.

We will provide you with updates as our engagement plans continue into 2020. This includes release of Economic Obsolescence reports in Q1 and details on the next stages of engagement activities.

WorkSight upgrades
We recently upgraded WorkSight to accept 2020 tax applications as well as tax applications associated with a Property Assessment Change Notice (PACN). Please refer to the updated User Guide for submission details.

In response to feedback from our municipal partners, we have expanded the comments section when submitting a tax application. We have also added a feature that will enable us to send municipalities supporting documents with our response document.

If you have questions about these enhancements, please contact your local Municipal and Stakeholder Relations team .
