Another December is upon us and I really am believing what my father told me years ago, "The older you get the faster the years go by!" We have several events and a reminder to share with you as we begin the last month of the calendar year.
PTO is sponsoring a Holiday Shop on Thursday, December 5th from 5:30-7:30. Students can come to shop for gifts for family members, wrap those gifts with assistance, meet Santa, and enjoy some cookies and cocoa. We hope to see you here to enjoy some holiday spirit!
Our Winter Program is on Thursday, December 19th in our gymnasium. You may have heard students beginning to sing their songs at home last month! Kindergarten and first grade will perform at 1:00, followed by 2nd and 3rd grade at 1:30. Our 4th and 5th graders finish the concert with their performance at 2:00.
Here are the theme days for 12/16-12/20:
12/16- Wear holiday themed hats/socks
12/17- Grinch Day: wear green
12/18- Deck the Halls- wear ugly sweaters
12/19- Winter Wonderland- dress nicely for the winter program
12/20- Long Winter Naps- pajama day
As we get more snowy weather, just a reminder that to play in the snow, we need snow pants and boots (as well as the typical other winter gear: jacket, gloves, hat/hood.) We don't have enough spare clothing to help students out with wet clothes:).
We are collecting data from you again using the Illinois 5 Essentials Survey. We need at least 20% parent participation to get information/data back from the state. I shared the data with you at the beginning of this year and it really does help us plan and improve. Thanks, in advance, for your time in filling it out. Here is the link:
Have a wonderful winter break with peace and joy to all of you!
