LT Basketball at Bankers Life

Make plans to join the Lawrence Community for an exciting afternoon of basketball on Saturday, January 11, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse!

Game times are as follows:

1. Belzer vs. Fall Creek Valley 7th grade: Noon*

2. Belzer vs. Fall Creek Valley 8th grade: 1:30pm*

3. Lawrence North vs. Fort Wayne Snider: 3:20pm*

4. Lawrence Central vs. Fort Wayne Dwenger: 5:50pm*

*times subject to change

Tickets will be $10 through the schools and $15 at the gate. Visit for more details.

Emanuel Duncan Alumni Basketball Game
Saturday, January 4, 2020 @ 4pm
To honor the memory of LC super fan Emanuel Duncan, we will hold our first ever alumni basketball game on January 4th at 4pm in the Main Gym. All proceeds raised will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation.  
This game is open to anyone who earned at least one varsity letter in either boys or girls basketball at LC. All eligible players must have received their diploma from LC. Email Ryan Banas if interested in participating

Alumni Making an Impact

Erik Burmeister, Lawrence Central Class of 1991, is currently serving as the Superintendent of Menlo Park City School District in Atherton, CA. He previously served as Hillview's principal and two years as the Assistant Superintendent. Prior to joining the MPCSD family, Erik was the principal at Union Middle School in San Jose and vice principal at Westmont High School in Campbell. Erik has also taught high school English and Speech/Debate as well as serving as a coach, Activities Director, Dean of Students, and youth leader. 

Kori Bethea Lawrence North Class of 2014 , began her teaching career in Wayne Township School District at the Ben Davis 9th Grade Center. Kori graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Social Studies Education. Kori was honored as an Outstanding Future Educator and also received an award for Outstanding Achievement in Social Studies Teaching. While at Ball State, she was a resident assistant. Kori has recently started her journey in pursuing a career in Professional Painting under the name Paint Brush Kori.

Jovan Williams, Lawrence Central Class of 2015, is the co-founder of the organization GTSA (George Taliaferro Sport Association) on the campus of Indiana University Bloomington. GTSA works to maximize diversity and inclusion within all sports communities at Indiana University. This group supports all students while encouraging them to network and collaborate with others through conferences, programming, and other in-field experiences. Jovan is currently in the Masters of Science in Sports Management program at the University of Indianapolis.

Logen Reed, Lawrence North Class of 2015, currently works for the University of Georgia as an Assistant Recruiting Coordinator for the football program. Logen is a recent Indiana University Bloomington graduate where she received her degree in Sports Marketing and Management. Logen made an impressive impact on campus as she was a part of the first executive board of the newly instated organization GTSA (George Taliaferro Sport Association). Logen served as the Women's Advocate Liaison and Co-Director of Community Service for the George Taliaferro Sport Association.

Brittany Slack , Lawrence Central Class of 2018 , is currently a student at Ball State University making an impact in the lives of many women across Indiana. Brittany has created a nonprofit called Beautiful Soul Inc . which provides resources to empower women while also reinforcing the importance of community service. Brittany recently received a Women's Empowerment award that recognized all of the hard work and impact that she has made on others.
