Best Holiday Wishes and a Happy New Year
Our last meeting featured our Assistance League's Philanthropic Programs. They are the reason we exist! The Philanthropic Programs really spent a lot of time and talents in putting together fantastic displays, state of the art presentations, and giving us the details about what is involved in their program(s). It was good to see the good our programs are bringing to the community and encourage all members to join in. Many thanks go out to our members who volunteer to help in the Operation School Bell, Operation Wildlife, We Care, Share and Outreach Programs.

Santa's Elves were again busily stocking the Thrift Shop during the Christmas Work Party weekend. Altogether with the presale tickets and 2-hour preview on Monday, November 4th, the Christmas season got off to a great start!

We will not be having a meeting for December. Instead, we will be having a potluck social event at Laurelynn Berger's home on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. If you've experienced the "High Tea" social, the Hospitality Committee spearheaded by Myrtle is planning an extraordinary event you will not forget. So, please sign up for the potluck and enjoy in the festivities.

Lastly, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and many blessings for the coming year. May peace, love, and prosperity be with you always.

Operation School Bell on Target at Kapolei
Several Oahu students are thankful for the help they receive through our Operation School Bell in-store events, such as this in Kapolei.
Operation School Bell had a successful event at the Kapolei Target store on November 16. Students from West and Central Oahu communities were able to get some new clothes and supplies for the current academic year.

Rae Kamaka, one of the parents wrote, " I want to thank you all again for the opportunity that was given to my daughter Irieana. She was able to purchase a few jeans for school and hair accessories.T hank you so much! Have a great week."

We get a lot of heartwarming letters from grateful parents and guardians.

Thenext in-store shopping event will be on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Target Kapolei.
