Unless otherwise noted, registration for Babylon patrons
begins online, by phone, or at the Circulation Desk Friday, November 15.

  Out of district residents may register Friday, November 29 .  A valid library card is required for each registrant.  Programs with fees must be registered for in person at the Circulation Desk.  No online registration will be permitted for these programs.
NOTE:  By taking part in our programs, your photo may be used in library publicity.

Gentle Yoga

Learn how to create beautiful and unique bows to adorn your holiday gifts, trees, or wreaths. Please remember to bring your own scissors. No walk-ins.

This is an easy, enjoyable stretching energy practice that diminishes the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation, putting control into the patient's hand and allowing them to have a bigger part in their healing process.

Toys For Tots

The Babylon Library will once again be collecting new unwrapped toys for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots toy drive.

Honor and Memorial Program
Books honor the memory of loved ones, living or deceased, and serve as living tributes that enrich the community.  Whether celebrating a birthday, anniversary, holiday or congratulating a friend, the Babylon Public Library Honor and Memorial Program allows you to honor a special someone by making a donation in their name.  A commemorative bookplate  will be placed inside the book's cover.  This can be a onetime or perpetual donation.  If you are interested in this program, please see the Reference Librarian for more information.

Let's help shelter pets look adorable in hilarious tacky bandanas to promote their adoption!  One hour of Community Service will be awarded. Registration begins on Thursday, October 17 for students entering Grades 5-12.

Escape the library is a fun interactive game taking place right here at our library. Find hidden objects, figure out the clues, and solve the puzzles to earn your freedom. Please arrive promptly. Doors will be closed at 3:30, no latecomers allowed! Registration begins on Thursday, October 17 for students entering Grades 5-12.

Friday, February 28
The Advanced Battle of the Books 2020 will take place on Friday, February 28 for teens in grades 9-12. Registration begins Thursday, October 17 for Babylon patrons only. Please register by Friday, November 30 if you wish to participate.
 
STUDY ROOM
The Library now has one study room available for Babylon card holders on a first come, first served basis.  There is a 2 hour limit to use the room and you must sign in at the Reference Desk.
TUTORING ROOMS
 
The Library does not allow tutoring on the main floor.  During December, we will attempt to set aside a room for tutoring, when possible, on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30 - 6:30 PM, on Thursdays from 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:30 AM- 4:30 PM.  Please call ahead to confirm. 
NOTE:  The library is glad to provide reasonable accommodations for patrons with special needs.  Please call us two weeks prior to a program to make arrangements.
