December is upon us!  Waynesboro welcomes the holidays with lots of Christmas cheer. From festive favorites like The Nutcracker Ballet to new traditions like the Community Sing-Along, there's plenty to do where good nature comes naturally!

Past the gates of the former Crompton corduroy factory, you'll find The Mill at South River, where the creative arts are blooming. Come tour the studios, watch demonstrations, and even make your own holiday ornament! Jake Johnson will hold sales at Make Waynesboro Clay Studio and glassblower Minh Martin and friends will have work for sale at Romeo Glass.

Come to SVAC for a week-long holiday celebration and shopping event! The gallery and gift shop will be full of local handmade goods from artists and artisans, where you'll be able to find something for almost everyone on your holiday shopping list. You will also have the opportunity to vote on the Gingerbread House Contest!

P. Buckley Moss Christmas Barn Show & Gallery Open House
December 13th-14th, 11 AM-5 PM at The Barn
December 15th, 12-4 PM at Downtown Gallery

The artist, P. Buckley Moss, will open her Waynesboro home, The Barn, to personalize prints and welcome collectors on Friday and Saturday, and visitors will have the same opportunity to meet with her Sunday at the Gallery in historic downtown Waynesboro. Four new prints are being released, along with two new holiday ornaments.

Wilson Fairchild is a country music duo made up of Wil and Langdon Reid from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. These two men, referred to as "the Reid boys," have been writing, performing and playing music together their whole lives.
 
Schola Cantorum Christmas Concert

The Wayne Theatre

In a unique collaboration, the 50 voices of Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro will present a concert of Christmas classics and carols at The Wayne Theatre. Under the direction of Jeffrey Ryman and with an orchestral ensemble the evening will be a delightful musical experience for the Christmas holiday. The audience will even be invited to participate for a few well-loved carols!

Barefoot Movement

Heartfelt, energetic, and down home. Heralded by CMT Edge as "one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene," the music of the Nashville based group The Barefoot Movement is as down to earth as their intention for members of their audience: sit back, relax, take your shoes off, and stay a while.

Christmas Sing-Along with Jimmy O and Elf  Movie

Come sing all of your Christmas favorites in a community sing-along lead by Jimmy O! Admission is Pay What You Will but reservations are encouraged. The Sing-Along is followed by the movie "Elf" beginning at 7 PM.
