Come join South San Francisco Parks and Recreation for an enchanting performance of “The Nutcracker” by the South San Francisco Civic Ballet on Friday, December 20 at 7pm and Saturday, December 21 at 1pm and 7pm. The performances will take place at the South San Francisco High School Theatre. Adult admission: $8.00 (18Y & Up), Youth Admission: $6.00 (3Y-17Y). Tickets can be purchased at the Recreation Office beginning December 9. Call the Recreation Office for more details (650) 829-3800.

Winter 2020 Class Registration
|

The Winter 2020 Activity Guides are now available online. Resident Registration will begin on Monday, December 2 at 6am online and non-resident registration on Monday, December 16 at 6am online. Classes will begin the week of January, 6, 2020. For questions or assistance with online account information please contact the Parks and Recreation office at (650) 829-3800.
Holiday Closures:
Please note that the Parks and Recreation Department (33 Arroyo Drive) and other Recreation administrative offices will be
closed from Monday, December 23 - Friday, December 27
. We will also have modified office hours on
Tuesday, December 31 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
, and we are
closed on Wednesday, January 1.

Special Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting

You're invited to a Special Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting to give your feedback on the design of the new playground to be built at the Community Civic Campus and hear an update about other exciting park improvements we have in the works! Agenda items will include:
- Review concepts for the playground to be built at the Community Civic Campus (located at the corner of Chestnut Avenue and Antoinette Lane). Connect with the design team from SmithGroup and let them know what is important to you!
- Hear an update on the Orange Memorial Park ballfield improvements.
- Hear an update on the planned renovation of Gardiner Park.

Get Moving SSF
The Parks and Recreation Department has an exciting new scholarship program called
Get Moving South San Francisco! in partnership with Kaiser Permanente Northern California Community Benefit Program.
Get Moving SSF! is a community benefit program that offers scholarships of up to $50 per person to register for classes, programs, and designated services offered through the Parks and Recreation Department. In addition to the scholarship, a qualifying recipient will receive
a swag bag.
Scholarship applications are now available. Complete a scholarship application in advance to qualify early, before the first day of Resident Registration for Recreation & Aquatic classes on December 2, 2019.

Fall 2020 Drop-in Classes

Did you know we offer more than ten different drop-in fitness classes in SSF, including an open gym and an open gym for seniors? Take a look at the
current Fall Drop in schedule
to see if there are any drop-in fitness classes you'd like to attend or didn't know we offered. No pre-registration is necessary. Please note, all drop-in fees are cash only and exact change is suggested. Classes subject to change.

Orange Pool Winter Schedule
|
Orange Pool will be open for the Winter break from December 16 to January 5 with the exception of closures for the following Holiday observances:
- December 23-December 27
- Wednesday, January 1
Pool office will close at 12:00pm on 12/31/19. Adult Recreation Swim on 12/31 is scheduled from 9:30am-11:30am.
