Every time a new business selects our region, you benefit through new opportunities to find new customers, services or support. Our children and families also benefit when new companies pay taxes - this helps fund education and new infrastructure. Site Selection Explained

Be sure to read Stephen Hartgen's commentary on Deane Foote's presentation at the 2019 Southern Idaho Economic Development Summit. Here is a link to this article in  Idaho Politics Weekly, November 10, 2019:   Business site selection rides on location, trainable labor.
What do businesses look for when they're considering new locations? What are the key factors which usually eliminate specific sites?

It's a complex process says Deane Foote, COE of Foote Consulting, Phoenix, Az., which specializes in screening potential sites for businesses seeking new locations.

Call to Action!

"My constituents have been asking me to fix our immigration laws since my first day in Congress,"  said Rep. Simpson.  "There is perhaps no more important facet of immigration reform for Idaho and its economy than the agriculture workforce. I am proud to introduce the Farm Workforce Modernization Act alongside a bipartisan coalition of members in the first step towards solving this problem. Getting our farmers' employees right with the law will provide economic stability to our rural communities and make our country safer by creating a legal, merit-based agriculture immigration system that allows our valuable law enforcement resources to focus on the bad actors."
