December 2, 2020
A few years ago, we selected a nativity set for our sanctuary, one that the children could bring in each Advent Sunday, piece by piece. I LOVE our nativity set, but every year since that very first one, the first Sunday of Advent just about kills me.

Can't the kids carry down more than a tree and the stable? I ask myself each year. Would it be so wrong to add a sheep or the cow, maybe? Our stable pieces are so gorgeous and unpacking them and sharing them with the kids is one of my favorite parts of my job in the Advent season.

But no. Advent is about waiting, after all. Waiting for light in the darkness of this time. Waiting for God to reveal to me whatever God has for me to learn each day. (Hopefully the lessons will include more patience!)

Hugs to you and your kids as you wait on the Christ child and the hope, peace, joy, and love he brings!

Be at Peace December 13th
During the months of September-December, our church gathers at the Peace Center on the second Sunday of each month at our regular worship time, 10:30 am.

Our next Be at Peace will be this Sunday, December 13th.

So that we may sit at safe distances, worship is a ticketed event. (There is no charge. You just reserve your seats.) We wear masks while there. Read more info and reserve your seat HERE!

On the Sundays when we worship at the Peace Center, there is no Children's Zoom Sunday school.
