The Reverend Canon Robert Griner will be joined - at a safe distance - by parishioners who have agreed to share tales of intrigue, mayhem, and general skullduggery during the next season of "Confessions to the Canon." Each episode will be uploaded to the Christ Church Newton You Tube channel on Wednesday mornings.

The Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols on Christmas Eve
The Christmas Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols, featuring members of the Senior and Junior Choirs, along with piano and organ, will be offered virtually this year. Look for the video to be posted on the Christ Church You Tube channel on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24th.
Christmas Day, December 25th
A virtual service featuring the students from the Christ Church Newton Sunday School in a stupendous Pageant will be posted on the Christ Church Newton You Tube channel on Christmas Day, December 25th.
Christmas Memorial Flowers
Honor your loved on with memorial flowers for Christmas. Names of the honorees will be included in the in the Christmas service bulletin which will be posted on the Christ Church Newton website. All names must by received by the church office by December 18th.

The monthly meeting will be offered virtually during December.

Mini-Retreats: Spirituality of the Senses
Sundays, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. or 3:30- 5:30 p.m., via Zoom
December 13th, January 17th
Our basic, primal senses are powerful and have many layers that live in our memories and experiences. These sessions will provide an opportunity to explore our spirituality through our five senses, connecting with God and strengthening our spirit. There will also be a special emphasis on the relationship of our senses with Wisdom and the Divine feminine. Group size limited to 12 people; facilitated by Leslie Valentine. Sisters in Christ

The Christ Church Book Club will meet on Thursday, December 3rd, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom to discuss "The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women" by Kate Moore. Sunday Servers & Brunch in a Bag Volunteers |
Those who have volunteered to provide flowers, support the Sanctuary, serve as Lectors, Ushers, Acolytes, Crucifers or on the Altar Guild, or assist with the Sunday Brunch in a Bag program can check their schedule on the Christ Church website. Please note that changes may continue to be made to accommodate public health guidelines.

Christ Church provides volunteers to Manna House on the 4th Wednesday of each month. The next volunteer opportunity is Wednesday, December 23rd, 9:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Contact Laura Booker at 973-383-7635. Please note that changes may continue to be made to accommodate public health guidelines.

Parishioners are still encouraged to contribute toward the purchase of the flowers on the altar in order to commemorate a special occasion or loved one; Sanctuary Lights or Candles, $20; Altar Flowers, $50. We are so very blessed to have you in our lives. You worked so very hard and did a truly wonderful job cleaning up and bagging (about 85 bags worth) all those wet leaves. Surely, some of you built some leg muscles on that front lawn hill of ours! So much hard work! The yard looks spectacular and we are truly grateful!
Lou and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving of yourselves in such a special way in our time of need. May the Lord Bless you all and keep you safe and healthy!
