FINANCE DEPARTMENT
The Government Finance Officers Association awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Jacksonville for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2019.
The certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

Citizen's Police Academy
The Jacksonville Citizen's Police Academy is proud to announce the graduation of 22 citizens from the latest academy class.

The Jacksonville Citizen Police Academy is a 30-hour block of instruction designed to give the public a working knowledge of the Jacksonville Police Department's personnel and policies. It consists of twelve weeks of classes, held on Tuesday night each week for three hours. The instruction covers a different area of the police department each week. Officers, supervisors and personnel assigned to that particular division conduct each instructional block.

SURVEY WORK BEGINS ON SIDEWALK REPAIR NEEDS
Survey crews began their preliminary work on the Sidewalk Renovation Grant Project.

Some of the sidewalks in Jacksonville are receiving a grant to be reconstructed.

The surveying/determination portion of this project is the first important step!
