Dear Friends,

Like most of you, my family celebrated Thanksgiving, and most everything else differently this year. Our actual dinner was for three rather than ten, but all in all, it was one of the best days that I have had in a long time. We were able to deliver dinner to our 89-year-old aunt and uncle in Fond du Lac, and while sitting in their garage, we introduced them to the world of ZOOM. 25 of our relatives from all over the country, ranging in age from 20 months to 89 years old, came together for almost two hours to share their favorite Thanksgiving food and what they are grateful for. The joy on everyone’s face and the connectedness that we all felt will remain in my heart forever!

Our Annual Holiday Events-“Home for the Holidays in Grafton”, are all different as well, but I know that the activities that we are providing have brought joy to many. Our decorations in the downtown, Home Decorating Tour and Contest, Holiday Cookie and Dessert Cookbook, Virtual Visits with Santa and our Commemorative Parade Video all make staying safe at home this holiday season much more fun. Please click here to check out all of our activities. A special “Thank you”, to my staff, Sarah McCraw and Annalise Kannenberg for all of their amazing work over the past few months. Our Holiday Events Committee and the Chamber Board of Directors have helped to guide us throughout this process, and none of this would be possible without the support from you, our business community.

This year, especially, I am reminded of how lucky I am. I have an amazing family, wonderful friends, and I live in a fantastic community! I am also very fortunate to work for a phenomenal organization that is committed to improving the quality of life for our residents and businesses every day! You have all made a difference in this community by being a part of the Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

On behalf of our staff and the Chamber Board of Directors, I wish you a very happy, safe and healthy Holiday Season!

We have created a Covid-19 Update page as a resources for chamber members, businesses, and community members to access. You'll be able to find information regarding updated hours and policies about restaurants & bars, medical services, retail, attractions, hospitality and financial institutions in Grafton.

If you have information about your business that you would like us to update, please email Annalise Kannenberg at celebrate@grafton-wi.org with the details.

Furthermore, this provides a central hub to helpful links from state and federal officials regarding tax credits, small business loans, Covid-19 F&Q's and so much more. Click on the button to access the Covid-19 Updates website.
The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department has been making an effort to reach out to businesses with positive COVID 19 employees and offer guidance. As they have continued this effort, they are finding it difficult to reach the correct person within the business in a timely manner to provide them with our business resource packet. Typically they look to connect with someone in human resources or the owner of the company (depending on the company size and structure) and they recognize these individuals are often very busy and managing their COVID response but feel it is important to at least reach out and offer assistance.

In an effort to streamline this process, the Health Department would like to compile a COVID 19 Business Directory that would contain the name of the business, the identified COVID 19 contact person for the health department, their email address, and phone number.
