Dear Fellow Chamber Members,
In my last letter to you, as Chair, I would like to take a moment to say thank you. Although we weren’t able to attend many events this year, I can honestly say that together we have made the best of these trying times. I believe YOU have supported the Chamber and made us better by allowing us to help you maintain business continuity and sustainability through the pandemic. You continue to support the Chamber and for that we are very grateful; Thank You! We will continue to be here for you!
I would also like to take a minute to say thank you to our exceptional leadership staff at the Chamber. Jill and Claudine have been nothing short of amazing. You are always on top of things and make sure our members receive the very best service! We are all very lucky to have you leading our organization! Thank You!
Lastly, I’d like to say thank you to the Executive Board for your commitment and dedication to ensure we maintain sustainability thru the pandemic. Your participation, insight and input led us thru these tough times. Thank You!
As we look ahead to 2021, I am excited to turn over the reins to Chris Buehler and confident he will lead us into a strong new year! Mr. Buehler is an exceptional leader and is the right person to jump start 2021!

AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT
Michael Lo
Kiwanis Club of Lisle
Michael Lo is this month's featured Ambassador. He is the Secretary in charge of communications with the Kiwanis Club of Lisle, which is a community service organization. In addition to his time with Kiwanis Club of Lisle, he is in business development and IT recruiting for CIeNet. He has been with the Kiwanis Club of Lisle for 6 years, but started out with the organization in high school as a Key Club member. He has also been in inforamtion technology either in sales or as a consultantn in various roles for 24 years.
He enjoys being an Ambassador because he can quickly learn about new businesses and business developments in Lisle. Being connected with the Chamber in this way also helps him promote his organization, Kiwanis Club of Lisle, and boost support for the club in the community. it's also been good socially to meet interesting people in the community.
Michael lives in Lisle with his wife, daughter, tropical fish, and a stubborn, but loyal beagle-French bulldog mix. He enjoys perfecting his golf swing, reading everything he can and watching quality movies. His favorite quote is by Winston Churchill who stated that "Success is not final, and failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts." Michael thinks it is important to continue moving forward and learning from one's success and failures.

Village of Lisle
Celebrate the Holidays with a Coloring Contest, Holiday Caravan and Tree Lighting Streamed Live!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Village of Lisle's annual tree lighting ceremony is going virtual this year. Make sure to to join in the celebration via Facebook Live on Saturday, December 5th beginning at 6:00 p.m.
|
|
The holidays are a special time in Lisle when the community comes together to celebrate its holiday traditions. In lieu of the annual parade this year, a holiday caravan will go throughout the Village, helping to spread holiday spirit. Santa will be joined by Lisle’s Mayor, Village Trustees, and others as they make their way through the Village in vehicles decorated to help spread holiday cheer.
The holiday caravan begins at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 and will proceed slowly through the Village following a specific route.

Midwest Auto Body of Lisle is giving back to the community. Customers who spend more than $500 on auto body repairs, will receive a $25 gift card to a local small business. This program is a way to help support businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 while also raising awareness among their customers about small businesses in the area. Midwest Auto Body has now purchased $2,000 in gift card investments in Lisle businesses.
Midwest also supports students through their “Dents and Dings for Education” program which donates all proceeds for minor repairs of $100 or less to the Lisle Education Foundation, which supports local students through scholarships. Dents and dings really add up, to date Midwest has donated a little over $2,000 to the fund.
According to Amish Patel, General Manager of Midwest Auto Body of Lisle, “My family has always believed that we rise by lifting others. We are proud to showcase other local small businesses during the pandemic and equally as proud to support Lisle area students through the Education Foundation. We are all in this together.” Amish Patel additionally gives back to his community by being a member of the Lisle Rotary Club.
