Greetings!

Did this year fly by or did it take forever? I can't figure it out. It's been a strange one, that's for sure.

2021 will bring some exciting new changes to Image Matters. I am happy to announce I am introducing a new line of skin care products.

I am always striving to keep abreast of what's happening in the skin care and cosmetic industry and to share the best of what I can find with my clients.

Beginning January 1st, I am "upgrading" my skin care offerings to include a line of premium quality, highly effective anti-aging products infused with both traditional medical ingredients (such as AHA's and BHA's) as well as natural botanicals. Truly the best of both worlds. Read more about these products in this newsletter.

My original products are still available but if you would like to try a sample of these new products just text me (Christine@ImageMattersSWFL.com) and I'll send some out to you. I am confident you will love these new products as much as I do.

Last month I promised more information about the Pantone Color Institute forecast for 2021 and 5 more colors are discussed below as well as the official Color of the Year for 2021. Read on to see what colors will work best for you.

I hope you enjoy a love filled holiday season and a safe and healthy new year. Take care of yourself in whatever way feels most comfortable for you. Call me if I can help you look and feel better.

COLOR FORECAST FOR 2021

Beach Glass
According to Pantone Color Institute experts, colors for Spring/Summer 2021 emphasize our desire for a range of color that inspires ingenuity and inventiveness – colors whose versatility transcend the seasons and allow for more freedom of choice - colors that lend themselves to original color statements and whose flexibility easily adapts to our new and more fragmented lifestyle.

These colors (except for Pirouette) are right out of the Spring palette so for all my Springs out there, go for it! 2021 will be a good year for you to "shop till you drop" and extend your wardrobe. Wear any of these shades from head to toe and marvel at how fresh and youthful you look - and feel.

Golden, red-haired Springs will look especially vibrant in the Orange Ochre. Pair it with navy for a classic look with a trendy twist.

Light and fair Springs with blond hair will sparkle in the Purple Rose and Beach Glass. Wear these colors head to toe as warmer weather approaches or mix either with a light stone or taupe color.

Summers will do well in Pirouette - a soft dusty pink. Pair it with any shade of gray or a light navy. Beach Glass and Purple Rose will also suit those with Summer coloring. Leave the Pickled Pepper and Orange Ochre to your warm friends.

These shades are for the most part, too light for Autumns to wear solo. But the Orange Ochre will be fabulous when paired with a rich chocolate or a light Khaki. And Pickled Pepper is just a lighter version of olive so wear it with a deeper olive or moss. Or wear either of these new shades with navy. Navy is a versatile neutral that works for everyone.

If you are a Winter these colors will need to be mixed with your bolder shades or worn in a print. Do be careful of the Pickled Pepper and Orange Ochre as they have a definite warm undertone.

And now - the COLOR OF THE YEAR FOR 2021.
Pantone Color Institute has chosen two shades to represent the new year.

For 2021, the colour authority has actually selected two contrasting shades, “ultimate grey” and “illuminating yellow”, which it describes as “a marriage of colour conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting.” After a tumultuous year thanks to a global pandemic, it’s a cheerful mix that reminds us of sunshine filled days.
The union of an enduring, ‘ultimate grey’ with the vibrant yellow, ‘illuminating’ expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, in a statement.

Suggestions for wearing these shades:

If you love yellow and yellow loves you (hello Springs, light blonde Summers, deep bold Winters and warm golden Autumns) go for it! Enjoy this lively fun fresh color. Pair it with the gray or wear it with navy. If you aren't sure about this bright color then wear it as an accessory. A cute summer handbag in Illuminating Yellow could be fun and just enough to show you are aware of the trends.

Ultimate Gray is a cooler shade but wearing any shade of gray can work this season. We've been seeing more and more gray everywhere - home furnishings, accessories and fashion. Gray is a great neutral that can work with most colors whether it's a blue gray or a pewter shade.

Skin Care for 2021

INTRODUCING ID SKIN CARE!
My new products have been formulated by pharmaceutical professionals and tested by physicians. Infused with traditional medical ingredients combined with natural botanicals to reap the benefits of both worlds and providing your skin maximum results. And they are made in a custom lab right here in SW Florida!

One of the products I am most excited about is Repair Gel. This product works for all skin types as a light, whipped moisturizer that hydrates, soothes and calms the skin. It contains aloe, cucumber and calendula extracts, shea butter and vitamin E. Use it as a moisturizer but I call it "moisturizer on steroids" because it does so much more. It makes my skin feels fresh, taut and smooth. (BTW, it contains no steroids!) Pricing for these products is very competitive.

I will be offering free skin care clinics in January so stay tuned for more information on how you can be introduced to this fabulous new line of products.
