Did you know that the races sponsored by the GBCA are informal and relaxed, yet a perfect way to improve your right of way, sail trim, and tacking skills? The moderate winter temps of South Texas allow for year round sailing.

This year, we're offering sailors two opportunities to enjoy the parade in a COVID safe way.
"Be Bright" aboard our parade boat. Contribute a few decorations and wave to the crowd from aboard our sailing sleigh. Enjoy the views of the other decorated power & sailboats as you motor along the parade route all while you avoid the crowds and stay COVID safe! "Be Merry" and jingle all the way aboard our spectator boat. Bring your family or friends and a bottle of wine to sip while you watch the parade. We'll anchor in Clear Lake just off the parade route to watch the parade boats from a no-crowds, COVID safe sleigh! Click here for more information or to register for the Spectator Boat.
All sailors are welcome to help decorate our parade boat. Arrive at 1:00 pm to help decorate the boat, then join us for the holiday party before departing for the parade festivities.
Are you Top Elf? We need a volunteer Coordinator the decorating and to attend the Skipper's Meeting. The Boat Coordinator will receive a free ticket to the Awards Brunch and a top spot on Santa's "Nice List!" Call us to volunteer.

Calling all Skippers!
Are you interested in improving your skills as skipper during our club sails?
We are always looking for qualified sailors to be club skippers for club events like the upcoming Day Sails on Saturdays and Sundays. All club skippers must have completed the ASA 118 Docking Endorsement class. If you would like to skipper for club events, please respond via email with the boats that you feel comfortable skippering to be added to the list.
