Class is now in session!
We would like to showcase one of our LGBTQ+ classes. A weekly therapy group for Transgender/ Non Binary Transitional Aged Youth (16-24). Our program will promote development of positive coping skills, to better manage depression and anxiety.
Is Social Media affecting your Holidays?
We may not always have the willingness or ability to eliminate our involvement in social media. If we can understand the effects of social media on our brain, it may help with our desire to be aware of how often we engage and the effects our usage can have on us as individuals. Here are some ways we can control our usage of social media.

Creating A Calm Space
The consequences of a calming corner are very beneficial; creating peace of mind and reassurance through regulation development. In schools, these spaces are effective and will prevent children from being sent out of classrooms, or possibly running away from home, as well. Calm spaces can also be used to develop the accountability needed for self-regulation by encouraging children to acknowledge their thoughts/feelings. Click here for full article
Quarantine Christmas Ideas

  1. Give away food to less fortunate.
  2. Decorate Christmas Cookies.
  3. Make Christmas masks.
  4. Create a commemorative ornament.
  5. Sing Christmas Karaoke.
  6. Host a virtual party.
  7. Make a holiday playlist.
  8. Watch a Christmas Movie
  9. Put together a holiday puzzle.

CDC Guidelines for Christmas

1.Wash hands often to help prevent the spread of germs.
2.Bundle up to stay dry and warm.
3.Manage stress.
4.Don’t drink and drive or let others drink and drive.
6.Fasten seat belts while driving or riding in a motor vehicle.
7.Get exams and screenings.
8.Monitor children.
9.Practice fire safety
10.Prepare food safely.
11.Eat healthy, stay active.
