A Message from our President/CEO:
Dear Friends,

What a year this has been for all! Many of our community members have faced extreme hardships, seeking resources for food, shelter, employment, and medical care. Thanks to your support, United Way was there to respond, funding 31 programs that assisted over 42,000 local community members last year alone.

As you wind down your year and look at your charitable giving, if you are able, we need your help now more than ever to continue this level of support to our community. NOW IS THE TIME to donate to our Community Impact Fund, benefitting the lives of over 42,000 people in the tri-state area.

Living without the resources United Way supports in the community isn’t easy. Giving is.
  • Sign up for a one-time or recurring gift here: https://dbqunitedway.org/give
  • Text LIVEU to 40403 to make a donation
  • Mail a donation to United Way office at 215 W. 6th, Dubuque IA 52001

As we prepare for a new year, please make the time to take care of yourself, check in on others, and stay safe and healthy so we may begin to recover as a community, living UNITED.

Yours,
Danielle Peterson
President/CEO
This year, more than ever, we must unite to support others
Giving thanks has an entirely new meaning for most of us. 2020 marks a year that has provided us with a different perspective. It’s changed our relationships, our employment, our education and health care systems and our community.

Interns Wanted!
We accept interns year-round for two different positions within our office.

Community Building & Impact/Volunteer Engagement Intern

Development & Marketing Intern

Why Intern at United Way?
"Interning at the United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States was a great experience! They were flexible with my schedule and worked with me to ensure that my internship met the requirements set forth by my college for a Public Relations major. They allowed me the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects to build my portfolio and I was able to learn a lot about the world of nonprofit marketing! It was a great way to earn college credit while making an impact on my community!"- Jenna Meehan, Summer 2020 Development & Marketing Intern

Food Delivery

Dubuque Area Labor Harvest and Community Solutions of Eastern Iowa are partnering to have groceries delivered to those in need. We are in search of volunteers to help with delivery of these groceries.

Deliveries will occur on Saturdays and Thursday starting at 11 AM. Volunteers will go to the Dubuque Area Labor Harvest (423 W. Locust Dubuque, Iowa 52001) and be able to pick up the groceries with the address of delivery. The volunteer will deliver the meals to the door step and either ring the door or knock so the person knows the groceries have been delivered.
Whether you make a one-time gift or set up recurring monthly payments, every donation matters.
We are stronger together!
