Allegheny County and The Pittsburgh Foundation partner to distribute Coronavirus Relief Funds
Earlier this year, Allegheny County named The Pittsburgh Foundation to oversee efforts to distribute $1.62 million in rapid relief grants to local nonprofits in response to the human services needs presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. 
AAA delivers joy to local seniors
More than 9,000 seniors in Allegheny County will be receiving a surprise in the mail: a care package sent by the Area Agency on Aging (AAA). The packages were funded by the County’s coronavirus relief fund (CRF) which was created by the federal CARES Act.
DHS, partner agencies introduce projects to address youth homelessness
DHS has recently announced four projects for young adults ages 18 through 24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This includes single adults, couples, and young families with children in the County. 
Staff in the Office of Equity and Inclusion took a few moments to discuss their office’s response to the pandemic.
