1). How did you start volunteering at the Health and Hope Clinic?
-I started back in April of this year. I was looking for clinics to volunteer at online and I came across Health & Hope!
2). What department do you work in at the clinic, and what makes your work meaningful to you?
- I work mainly in casework but I'm also a Medical Assistant. Casework is my favorite because I like to help others behind the scenes. I'm not a very talkative person, so when I'm working in casework, I don't have to talk as much but at the same time, I'm still assisting others.
3). What skills have you learned from working at the clinic?
- My communication skills are getting better. I've also learned administrative skills, I've become more attentive to detail, and my knowledge of basic medical terms is increasing.
4). What is one of your favorite memories and/or experiences during the time you have been at the clinic?
- I actually have two of them! I enjoyed the Christmas Gala we had this year, and I loved Hahn Saturday where I assisted Dr. Hahn with biopsy procedures. I got to witness some really cool things on that day!
5). What do you enjoy the most about being a part of the team at the clinic?
-I enjoy the actual team itself. The environment at the clinic is always so cheerful, and it makes me look forward to coming in on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
6). What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
-I like going to the gym, but when I'm not at the gym, I just like resting at home in bed.
