NOVEMBER MEETING RECAP
Thanks to Art Camacho, City Secretary of Haltom City and NTMCA Secretary, for planning a fun luncheon at El Tejas restaurant. Our scheduled speaker wasn't able to attend, so Mayor An Truong welcomed the group and spoke about his background. He was a Vietnamese fighter pilot and flew alongside American pilots in the Vietnam War. He's been an American citizen for more than 40 years now. He became a Fort Worth Police officer in the 1980s, and an investigator for the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office. After that, Truong earned his Ph.D. and went from Haltom City council member to mayor.

The group enjoyed hearing Mayor Truong's fascinating story. The fajitas and chapter fellowship were great too!

HOLIDAY PARTY RECAP

The NTMCA Holiday Party on December 9 was so much fun! Thank you to Weatherford City Secretary Malinda Nowell and Executive Assistant to the City Manager Krista Peacock for planning and hosting this event at the beautiful Chandor Gardens in Weatherford. The hall was decked with gorgeous holiday decor, and the sunny weather was perfect for a stroll in the gardens. City Manager James Hottop and Mayor Paul Paschall welcomed our group, and Santa made a surprise appearance! Lunch and dessert were also delicious.

Our silent auction featured some great football and baseball tickets as well as wine and other festive gifts. The 50/50 cash raffle was also a lot of fun. Both the auction and raffle proceeds benefit the Alyce Deering Scholarship Fund

Attendees were also generous with their donation of 121 pounds of food to the pantry at Parker County Center of Hope.
Chapter Listserv
Our chapter is getting closer to deploying our listserv. The chapter listserv will assist members with research, questions, example documents and general help.

This will supplement the TMCA statewide Google group by gathering information from local city secretaries and serving as a resource for our chapter. You can choose how you receive emails—digest version or real time.

Alicia Richardson (North Richland Hills) is managing the group and is currently testing the system. If you are interested in being included in our chapter list serve, please send Alicia an email.
