49th International Emmy® Awards Gala
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the winners of the 49th International Emmy® Awards November 22 at an in-person Black-Tie Gala event in New York City hosted by Yvonne Orji. 1 Special Award and 11 Emmy® statues were presented during the evening. 2021 International Emmy® Directorate Award
Dr. Thomas Bellut
Former NBA Player and NBA Champion with the Dallas Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki presented the International Emmy® Directorate Award to Dr. Thomas Bellut, Director General of German public broadcaster ZDF, one of Europe’s major and most renowned broadcasters, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and his 30-year career as an outstanding journalist, broadcaster and executive.
The envelopes were opened by a cast of US and International Presenters
Host Yvonne Orji was joined on-stage by presenters Angélica, Henning Baum, Brian Cox, Brian d’Arcy James, Luciano Huck, Joshua Jackson, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Danielle Moné Truitt, Chiké Okonkwo, Piper Perabo, Aidan Quinn, Felipe Santana, Emeraude Toubia and Vanessa Williams. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is a membership based organization comprised of leading media and entertainment figures from all sectors of television including internet, mobile and technology. The Academy was chartered with a mission to recognize excellence in television programming produced outside of the United States, and it presents the International Emmy® Award to programs in sixteen categories (including Non-English Language U.S. Primetime Program)

Each year, the Academy publishes International Emmy® Magazine, The International Emmy® Awards Program and the International Emmy® World Television Festival Program which all reach the full International Academy membership and has expanded digital global circulation and online visibility year round.
The next International Emmy® Magazine will be published early 2022 and include all the highlights from the 2021 activities, Winners acceptance speeches across all categories, Board & Members Meeting panels, M+ conversations, and more.
