IAWF's Year in Review
As 2021 comes to an end, we would like to thank all of our donors, board members, trustees, and supporters for their continued belief in IAWF's mission. This year was full of new challenges, but we are grateful that we would could continue to organize virtual events and support our mentees across the country. We have also started planning in-person events to safely bring our community back together and we look forward to what’s in store for the new year. Here, we look back at some of our accomplishments over the past few months:
Virtual Events
We also awarded over $34,000 in educational scholarships for our mentees in financial need across the country. These life-changing awards are only possible through our donors' support, and we are grateful to everyone who has contributed to our scholarship program. Please email contact@iawfoundation.org for more information about how you can donate to any of our scholarship funds, or establish your own fund in your name or in honor of a loved one.
You can also sign up or renew your tax-deductible IAWF membership here, and learn how you can select IAWF as your charity of choice on Amazon Smile here.
Thank you again to everyone who dedicated their time and resources to furthering our mission this year, and we look forward to a brighter 2022!
Delfarib Fanaie Receives Jefferson Award
Congratulations to IAWF supporter and member, Delfarib Fanaie, for receiving the Jefferson Award in honor of her work for her community. A compassionate humanitarian, a mother of three adopted children from Iran, and an advocate of vulnerable children, fulfilling her life-long vision of improving the lives of the neediest children in her motherland, Iran, in her host country, the U.S., and around the globe, Delfarib co-founded Moms Against Poverty in 2008. Nine years later, continuously growing and with a holistic approach to breaking the cycle of childhood poverty through education empowerment, hunger relief, and orphan care, MAP stands stronger than ever, and Delfarib continues to serve as its president. With over 35 years of experience in the real estate market, Delfarib works as an asset manager for a well known real estate investor in the Bay Area. Congratulations to Delfarib for this well-deserved award, and thank you for all that you do to uplift others.
