Many people have wanted to take a self-defense class because they know it could come in handy. This is your chance as a chamber member to attend a self-defense workshop on Saturday, January 21st at Fluid Jiu Jitsu! 

Come learn how to combat many typical scenarios where self-defense is needed like hair pulling, arm grabs, wrist grabs, punch defense, choke defenses, situational awareness, and much more. 

These workshops are designed to introduce people to the concepts of Brazilian jiu jitsu and use the mechanics of the human body as a tool to defend oneself. There is very limited striking in this system however the joint manipulation and leverage and technique make this style is far more effective when dealing with an aggressor who wishes to do you harm. No matter your age or physicality this workshop will benefit you. 

Join us for our first-ever event at Luxe Golf for 2 hours of fun! There will be snacks, an assorted dessert platter, golf, and networking! The best part - you don't even need to know how to golf! Bring your colleagues, and enjoy a good time!

If you're a golfer, feel free to bring your own clubs. Otherwise, clubs will be included at each bay.

As a dedicated and detail-oriented tax accounting professional, Joan Prifti has been meeting the accounting needs of corporations and individuals in the Milwaukee area and across the United States for the past four years. He is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, the highest credential IRS awards, granting him unlimited practice rights before the IRS. He specializes in preparing financial statements, tax preparation and audit representation.

Joan got his start in the accounting industry when he was a junior at Cardinal Stritch University where he interned for an accounting firm. After he graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with a bachelor’s in Accounting, Joan worked as Tax Consultant for a local office. There, his duties were to represent clients before Department of Revenue and IRS audit matters, help clients file tax information, checking the accuracy of all financial documents provided to ensure accuracy and transparency.

In 2021, Joan founded AA TAX LLC, a firm dedicated to Tax preparation and Audit representation as well as other financial services. His experience working with both corporations as well as individual clients has allowed him to easily navigate the financial world, giving his sound advice for careful planning to fulfill their long-term and short-term goals.

Through the Main Street Bounceback Grants Program, you can get $10,000 to help you get set up in a commercial space. The more empty spaces we can fill with new restaurants, salons, stores, and other businesses, the more people it will bring into our commercial areas and through your doors.

The program was extended until 12/30/2022.

Your business will not qualify for grant funds if you are renewing an existing lease or will be vacating a commercial space to move to another.
