Greeting everyone,

The Holiday season is here with all its splendor. This is a time of year to be extra grateful for the abundance all around us and appreciate our families, friends, and acquaintances. There is so much to be thankful for.

Thank you to everyone who donated to The Toys for Tots collection. Our boxes were overflowing with presents for the children. We like to thank all our directors and members who contribute so much for the betterment of our community.

It takes a team to accomplish all the things that make Freeport a great place to live and work.

We had our Christmas tree lighting and boat parade on Saturday December 3rd, and we lucked out with the weather! It cleared up just in time! It was a big hit, and everyone enjoyed seeing all the festively decorated boats!

Thanks to the Community Church of the Nazarene for always supplying toys, gifts, and lots of goodies for the children. You make the event special.

As 2022 comes to an end, we look back on all the things we have achieved and our aspirations for 2023. We have so many wonderful events scheduled for the new year!

We now have our membership application in Spanish which will be on our website shortly!

Thank you to Adrian Marias from Malone, Tauber & Sohn, P.C, who took the time to translate this for us. Our members truly are the best!

Let’s congratulate our newest members:

William Bonomo of D’elia Bonomo Agency LLC

Carline Jefferson of Dickey’s Barbeque Pit

Michael Fernandes of New York Life

Don Fahrbach of PNP Craftsmen and

Andrew Milio of Undercut Junk Removal

Our December luncheon was held at Platinum Cuisine. They did an outstanding job in hosting it. Our speakers, Ana Donaldson of Fit4Life Studios and Leah Hartofelis of Breathe N Flow Yoga gave us some valuable tips to stay healthy for the New Year and beyond. Check them out on our website.

Our next luncheon is scheduled for January 10th at Montana’s Restaurant. Our speaker will be Dave Montgomery. He will be talking on how Covid effected businesses and how you can qualify for the employee retention tax credit.

On Saturday December 17th we had the Nautical Mile Winter-Fest with Guinness book record ice sculpture, Richard Daly. He was amazing. Thank you to the Long Island Arts Council for sponsoring this event.

Remember to shop and dine locally. We have many fabulous restaurants and stores to choose from. Again, check out our website and visit them.

We want to wish everyone a joyous holiday and a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2023.

Blessings to all,

The Freeport Chamber

A message from the president, Ben Jackson

I want to wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season.

Please keep our veterans in mind during this season. They may not be home for the holidays. Many are overseas making sure America is safe.

I think we had a tremendous year, we are more financially stable. We have increased our membership by more than 50%. We are more active in our community.

If you would like a skyline, lit banner (The one like the ones you see on the Nautical Mile) please contact Monica.

This will be for next year., We are trying to get a bulk rate. We have a few companies interested so far.

Thank you,

Ben Jackson
