Millions of professionals and volunteers work with young people every day in the many settings where youth play, learn, and grow outside of the school day. Yet, we have little collective information about this essential workforce. We want to know more about those who are still in the youth fields and those who left, so that we can explore, define, and elevate this collective workforce and their work with youth.

CCMHCC Youth Video Contest
|
The Clark County Children's Mental Health Consortium (CCCMHC) is hosting a youth video contest to promote Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Week: May 7-13, 2023. The purpose of this contest to encourage the youth throughout Nevada to express their creativity as a way to help raise awareness about mental health.

Request for Applicants for Inclusion on the Nevada OSIT List of Recommended STEM Education Programs
|
The Nevada Governor's Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology (OSIT) seeks eligible applicants that meet OSIT's criteria for high-quality STEM learning. Any curriculum, set of instructional materials, educational program, or product intended for formal or informal STEM learning may be reviewed. The Nevada STEMList Rubric will be used to evaluate and identify high-quality STEM programming. Selected programs will be included on Nevada's List of Recommended STEM Programs overseen by OSIT.

NV OSIT Special STEM Grants
|
|
K-5 STEM Grant
$1,500 per classroom for materials to enhance STEM project or up to $20,000 per school to implement on of OSIT's recommended STEM programs. DEADLINE 12/19/2022

Rural STEM Network Grant
$35,000 available for innovative initiatives that support the development of a diverse workforce with the awareness, skills, and education that meets the needs of STEM industries in Rural Nevada. DEADLINE 1/3/2023

Northwestern STEM Network Grant
$15,000 available for innovative initiatives that support the development of a diverse talent pool meeting the employment needs of the region’s evolving STEM industries. DEALINE 1/3/2023

Children's Week At The Nevada Legislature

Children's Week was created to have a full week dedicated to advocating for Nevada's children. Together, we will fill the halls of the State Capitol and speak up for our children and families on
March 13th-16th, 2023
NICRP is providing limited, free bus transportation from Las Vegas to Carson City for interested families. By riding the bus to Carson City, you will have the chance to partake in Children's Day Activities on Monday, March 14, 2023.
