Many people don’t know that City Theatrical products are mostly handmade, right here at our facility in Carlstadt, New Jersey, USA. We started an Employee Spotlight series earlier this year to celebrate the incredible people behind our products.
In celebration of her 22nd work anniversary at City Theatrical and Employee of the Month status, we talked to Lorlyn Sia, our Customer Service Manager and Sales Specialist, as our December 2022 Employee Spotlight, and learned more about her experience working with the company, how the company has both changed and remained the same over the years, and her advice for new hires.

Pink Sparrow's Los Angeles-based team had the opportunity to showcase their expertise in LED lighting products by creating a series of branded event signage and architectural accent lighting for the Marriott Bonvoy American Express | Back to Business event at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, for their client and designer, Karlitz & Co. The design encompassed smooth compact lighting to form to a curved wall, half round bars, and corporate logo-shaped neon signs with tight bends in cursive writing that could also be temperature adjusted to match the lighting at the venue. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Enhanced Lighting and Audio Visual is a provider of full-service custom event production, lighting and design. They developed a "fairy light" lighting concept for an epic wedding ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, California - in the middle of a snowstorm. They sought a dimming control solution that could be mounted to an overhead rig with over 100,000 hanging LED lights, and run seamlessly for over 24-hours using individual power supplies, despite extreme winter temperatures.
