Happy Holidays from CESC The Kearney Center!

Thank you for making this year brighter for community members in need. We are grateful to have your support and look forward to what's to come in 2023.

Wishing you the happiest of holidays and a prosperous new year!

Events

Communities throughout the country recognize December 21—the first day of Winter, the longest night of the year—to honor those who have died while experiencing homelessness. In collaboration with Big Bend Continuum of Care, we will host a gathering at The Kearney Center to honor our friends, family members, and neighbors who passed away in 2022 while experiencing homelessness and those who dedicated their lives to advocating for them.

For more information, please contact Big Bend Continuum of Care at 850.792.5015 or info@bigbendcoc.org

Client Success

Thomas is housed!

Thomas came to The Kearney Center after mental health struggles led him to homelessness. In addition to receiving food and shelter, he was connected to The Apalachee Center’s mental health counseling services. Thomas enjoyed the companionship and support he received at The Kearney Center. His Housing Navigator said, “The smile that came upon his face when he received the keys to his new home is unforgettable.” Thomas is living on his own again and receiving ongoing mental health support.

Larry is housed!

Larry needed help securing a place to live after temporarily staying with a family member. Despite his disability becoming worse, he was determined to live independently. With the help and care of The Kearney Center, Larry was connected with the help he needed to live on his own again. We’re proud to see Larry shine in his new apartment!
