Hello!
Over the last month, we have continued to be overwhelmed by the support PILI has received. From the 45th Anniversary Awards Gala, our #GivingTuesday campaign led by our Young Professionals Board and our year-end appeal, we have been uplifted by the response of the Illinois legal community and its commitment to our work.

Even though so much has changed at PILI and in the world, PILI is today as it was in 1977 still focused on the very same work: “to improve awareness of public interest law and provide access to justice for those without resources.” As we think about PILI’s next 45 years, we are excited and invigorated to think about what we will achieve with the continued support of the Illinois legal community. While equal access to justice for all still remains as elusive today as it was in 1977, there is no question that PILI has been there to make a difference for so many and we stand at the ready to continue to serve. We hope you will continue to join us by getting involved and supporting our work.

Thank you for supporting us this year and for the past 45 years, and stay tuned to see what we can accomplish together over the next 45 years. In the meantime, our very best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
On December 1st, over 350 members of the Illinois legal community gathered together to celebrate PILI’s 45th Anniversary Awards Gala. The event was the culmination of the yearlong celebration of PILI’s 45th Anniversary in 2022 and was PILI’s most successful fundraiser in its history.

Thanks to the support of 64 law firms, corporations and law school sponsors as well as individual donors and supporters, we raised over $400,000 through the event to support PILI’s work to engage, inspire and empower those advancing equal access to justice. We are incredibly grateful for the very generous and critically needed support from the Illinois legal community.
