Michael A. Duff, J.D. ’85, has been named vice chair of the Alvernia University board of directors in Reading, PA.

Robert G. Cassilly, J.D. ’88, was elected Harford County executive. He chose Jefferson L. Blomquist, J.D. ’83, to be director of law and county attorney, and Robert S. McCord, J.D. ’89, to be director of administration.

Melissa Heifetz, J.D. ’97, is the new executive director of The Arc of Northern Virginia.

Kaya C. Abukassis, J.D. ’21, joined MacLeod Law Group as an associate.

Brendan Duff, J.D. ’22, is an honors attorney at the National Labor Relations Board in Albuquerque, NM.

Ellen Pruitt, J.D. ’22, was named a Krantz Fellow at DLA Piper, to focus on pro bono cases and work with the firm’s nonprofit affiliate, New Perimeter.

Byron Macfarlane, J.D. ’08, was re-elected as Register of Wills for Howard County, MD.

Justin A. DeVault, J.D. ’14, was elected a shareholder at Shulam Rogers.

Jennifer R. Terrasa, J.D. ’97, was re-elected to the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 13 in Howard County.

Abigail L. Baker, J.D. ’05, has joined PilieroMazza as a partner and practice chair of the firm’s Business & Transactions Group.

Sameer Sidh, J.D. ’07, has been named deputy administrative officer for economic development and infrastructure in Baltimore County government.
