The Illinois Secure Act: Are you in compliance?
The Illinois Secure Act, passed in 2015, now requires employers with 5 or more employees to enroll in the Illinois Secure Choice program. To avoid any potential penalties, employers should enroll in the Illinois Secure Choice program by December 31, 2023.
All employees that participate in a plan other than Illinois Secure Choice must register with the Illinois State Treasurer office to confirm compliance with the law.

IDFPR Releases License Application Checklist
Over the past several months, individuals applying for licenses across all professions through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) have experienced significant delays in processing their applications.
ISDS has been working diligently with IDFPR to address the issues in licensing delays. Our efforts include meeting directly with the Secretary of IDFPR, speaking with lawmakers, and testifying at a legislative hearing to communicate our concerns about these delays and their impact on the dental community. ISDS remains committed to addressing these issues.

2024 ILLINOIS LICENSE RENEWAL | |

2024 is a license renewal year for Illinois. General dentist license, dental specialty licenses, dental hygienist licenses, controlled substance licenses, dental sedation permits and temporary licenses credentials expire on September 30, 2024.
Dentists are required to attest they have completed of a minimum of 48 hours of continuing education over the three-year licensing period. Hygienists will be required to attest to 36 hours of continuing education over the three-year period. Anyone who renews late or is audited by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, will have to show proof of completion of all courses.
