ECCA Activities

Cobb County - Unified Development Code (UDC)

ECCA is reviewing the public draft now available ttitled "UDC Code Assessment-Public Draft November 2023". We will be "weighing in" with our recommendations to this proposed major change in zoning and subidivision regulations, infrastructure requirements, design guidelines, landscaping standards, and more, to the Cobb County Code.

We recommend that the ECCA Membership interrested in Cobb County zoning and development regulations, especially residential density, attend one of the upcoming public hearings.

Please take a look at the proposed UDC Code Assessment-Public-Draft November 2023 using the link below as well as the link to the UDC Public Meeting dates.

Power-Jackson Cabin - Area of Interest

In June 2023, Z-55 was withdrawn, but several members have expressed interest in the Power-Jackson cabin. Cobb Landmarks is working with the current owner and has agreed to disassemble, move the cabin to Hyde Farm Park, if the funding can be raised, and eventually restore the 1830s cabin.

Contributions are acccepted by Cobb Landmarks.

Anticipated costs: Disassemble and move the cabin: $65,000

Restoration costs: $300,000

Please visit Power-Jackson Cabin on the Cobb Landmarks website for additional information
