If schools are cancelled due to weather, 4-H events and activities are cancelled as well. We will make the call before noon that day if county-wide or district-wide meetings are cancelled. 4-H Families will be notified about cancellations via email through 4honline and a post on Facebook if we need to cancel meetings or activities at the county level.

Linn County 4-H Council's next meeting is January 24, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.

Miami County 4-H Council's next meeting is January 8, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.

All Adult 4-H Volunteers must enroll in 4-H Online to renew their volunteer status. Please enroll by January 15th. To enroll as an adult volunteer for the first time, sign in to your family account and add member. Club leaders and project leaders are required to enroll each year to maintain their screened volunteer status.

If you enroll as an adult volunteer and have not completed the screening process, you will be required to complete the volunteer screening process.
Enrollment is Open! Don't wait until it's too late, Enroll TODAY!

Clay Day Class

Class is being held on December 2.

The beginner class is full but we do still have a few open spots for the Intermediate Class - 10am-12pm

Cost of class is $7 that includes both days.

RSVP and Payment are due to extension office before the class. (913) 294-4306

Note: The "Glazing Day" date has changed.
It will now be on January 6
District Scholarships!!
District 4-H scholarship are now available. Information was emailed to all seniors and can be found on the District website as well. Any currently enrolled 4-H Member who is graduating in May 2024 may submit an application.

Cloverbuds are having a party!

LNCO Cloverbud Meeting is December 7 from 5:30-6:30p.m. at the Linn Co. 4-H Building.

MICO Cloverbud Meeting is December 14 from 5:30-6:30p.m. at the Paola Office.

We will be having a "Holiday Party" for this months Cloverbud Meeting.


Virtual Officer Training
 
Officer training is virtual again this year,
an email will be sent to all 4-H members to complete
the training via Qualtrics.

Entomology Project Meeting

Hope you each had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our Entomology group is growing by leaps and bounds! We had 3 new families in Nov. and one in October. Lots of fun and learning going on.
Date: Saturday, December 9th
Place: Allen County Extension Office.
Time: 1:00 p.m.

The Rabbit Club will meet the 2nd Wed.
bi-monthly the on the following dates weather permitting:

April 26 - Show set up & April 27 - Rabbit Show, May 8, July 18 - Set up for MICO Fair,
July 20-27 MICO Fair, September 12

We will meet at the fairground at 7pm in building #3 or next to the show arena on the bleachers

2024 4-H Camp Registration

Ready, set, register! All 4-H camp sessions are now available for registration online.

This includes mini camp, half week, full week, Leaders in Training (LIT), Counselors in Training (CIT) sessions, Specialty and Family camps. Family camps allow parents to attend with their campers.

Our finalized transportation schedule for next summer is available.

Early bird registration rate (10% discount) ends on December 31, 2023.

Miami County 4-H Foundation is awarding camperships to each MdC 4-H Member who attends camp this year. Use the promo code: SunFun75 for the 3-night or less camps or SunFun100 for the 5-night camps. This will give you $75 off the 3-night or less camps and $100 off the 5-Night camps.
