Members Succeeding: Some Recent Achievements

Malden Chamber of Commerce members are busy, not only with their business, but in serving their communities. Read below to learn about two extraordinary individuals.

Hilda Torres, Executive Director of My Little Best Friends Early Learning Center, received the Ohtli Award. This prestigious award, presented by the Consulate General of Mexico in Boston, acknowledged Hilda for her outstanding work in favor of migrant children and entrepreneurship. Hilda is the incoming Malden Chamber of Commerce Board President. Click here to learn more.

Julio Salado, owner of Fi t ness Foundry, long time Malden resident, active volunteer, and new member of the Malden Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, was recently honored by the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus (MBLLC). MBLLC commemorates Latino community leaders and trailblazers dedicated to bettering their communities across the state. Read all about Julio and his achievements here.

Getting Together: Malden Chamber Events

The Voices of Success Speaker Series kicked off with Boston Marathon Race Director Dave McGillivray inspiring us by talking about his Defining Moments. Hosted at Malden Catholic and funded by the ARPA grant from the City of Malden, we listened to Dave’s stories of overcoming obstacles to reach the top of the running world.

Forestdale Park Senior Living hosted the Malden and Melrose Chambers of Commerce holiday Business After Hours. Forestdale provided wonderful food in a beautifully decorated space. We all made important connections while celebrating this Chamber tradition.

Working Together: Malden Chamber of Commerce Members Supporting One Another

Year after year, the Malden Chamber of Commerce assists Malden Kiwanis with its holiday toy drive. This year, 17 Chamber members hosted boxes, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Center sent us this photo of their success efforts to collect toys. Well done Kiwanis and Spaulding!
