Christmas Wonderland

Houmas House is completely decorated and ready for the Christmas season! We hope you have a chance to come experience the magic of Christmas with us. The decorations will remain until January 6th!

Tours are available for purchase everyday from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Mr. Bingle

Visit an original Mr. Bingle! Each year he leaves his residence in the Great River Road Museum and spends the christmas season in the mansion.

Weddings at Houmas House

Houmas House Estate and Gardens is a stunning setting for the most memorable weddings. From grand ceremonies and receptions to the most intimate elopements, our wedding liaison will ensure every detail is perfect.

With several indoor venues to choose from, both small and large weddings can be accommodated. Outdoor ceremonies beneath the oaks provide picture perfect moments.

Wedding tours are available by appointment.

Edward James Gay VI Live in The Great River Road Museum

Louisiana native Edward James Gay VI, on a visit from Germany, will perform a one hour concert at Houmas House. Join us on December 17th from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Great River Road Museum stage.

Baton Rouge Symphony

Sunday, December 3, 2023

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM

The Symphony brass and percussion musicians perform traditional holiday favorites, including some BRSO custom arrangements. Due to questionable weather conditions, the Symphony will take place on the stage in the Great River Road Museum!

Dinner after the event is sold out, but we have limited spots available prior to the event from 11:00 AM to 3 PM.

Mansion and Museum tours will also be available for purchase before the event.
