North Carolina Women – Celebrating 70 years!
|
From the desk of Kay Wildt, NCFRW President
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.
God's love sustains us in this world. His blessings are everywhere: in the smile of a baby, in the friendship and caring that we have for one another.
May you and your loved ones have a blessed and Merry Christmas and healthy, Happy New Year and holy celebration of Hanukkah.

Reflection by Margeaux Holland
“And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:8-14
Take heart this season in your life and for our nation. He knows exactly where we
are. God knew exactly where the shepherds were...in the dark, gazing at the stars protecting their sheep. He also knew where Mary, Joseph, and Jesus were…in a tender place in a stable, safe from a crowd of people. So, He sent the angels to proclaim to them the wondrous news that His son was born only a few miles away. And, proclaim they did! In a mass of glory! The shepherds were fearful but, the angels exclaim, “Have no fear.”
Have no fear, friend…God knows where we are, and He has great love and great
things ahead for us.
“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” Isa. 55:6
Merry Christmas

Seth Dillon of the Babylon Bee headlines NC Right to Life Gala
NCFRW helped sponsor the 50th Anniversary Gala of North Carolina's Right to Life. The evening featured the history of the organization with many notable religious and political leaders present.
The keynote speaker, Seth Dillon of the Babylon Bee, is an ardent supporter of Right to Life, and his remarks on the censorship of humor reminds us that the Left tries to control not only freedom of speech, but even of laughter.
When Twitter blocked the Bee for the crime of calling a man a man, Elon Musk telephoned Dillon and said, "I guess I'll have to buy Twitter." Now it's known as X, and Elon Musk is committed to defending our right to free speech.
