The warmer weather and wonderful variety of food, crafts, gifts, and unique experiences resulted in an estimated 2000+ people in attendance.

5th Annual Matunuck Holiday Stroll

When: TONIGHT, Thursday, December 7th | 5pm - 9pm.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year; the 5th annual Village of Matunuck Holiday Stroll is here! Matunuck will be decked out in holiday cheer making it a night to remember - don’t miss it!

Come down and get your holiday shopping done all while supporting local artisans. The Ocean Mist, The Pub, Point Break Cottages, Matunuck Surf Shop, Matunuck Pizza, Admiral Dewey Inn, and Surfside Coffee will all have artists/artisans set up at each location!

Congrats to Gansett Craft Chocolates!

We're excited to share that two of Gansett Craft Chocolate handcrafted chocolate bars, Brown Butter Sage and Dark Chocolate Raspberry placed Silver in the International Chocolate Awards World competition.

This prestigious global award was held on Sunday, Nov. 26th, in Florence Italy and is the world's largest chocolate product competition from bean to bars chocolate makers from around the world.

With Gansett Craft Chocolate just starting out in June 2022, this a huge accomplishment for the family-owned business but also continues to add to the high quality of food makers around the state of Rhode Island and certainly in South Kingstown.

Dance into the New Year

Interested in Adult Ballet? The Studio in Mariner Square is expanding their dance program to include an “Introduction to

Ballet for Adults” where you can learn, or in some cases, reacquaint yourself with the basics.

A class will be scheduled if a quorum is reached to commence in mid- January 2024.

Narragansett Lions Club Updates

Community Dinner

The Narragansett Lions Club offers a free Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day for those in need of a warm holiday meal or for those who would otherwise be alone on that day. VIEW FLYER HERE

Pier Plunge Reminder

Don't forget that our annual Pier Plunge is on January 1st at 12pm!

The event will take place at the North Beach Clubhouse and proceeds will go to the Narrow River Preservation Association.

It's Not Too Late to Volunteer for Wreaths Across America

While many of us are facing a remarkably busy December, I hope that you will consider volunteering for the upcoming Wreaths Across America wreath placement, which is happening December 16th at 11:45 am at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.

The act of laying a wreath is a small gesture, but it carries with it a profound message of respect and gratitude for those who have made many sacrifices. It is a poignant reminder that we owe our freedom to these brave individuals.

But volunteering for Wreaths Across America is not just about placing a wreath; it's about spending a moment to remember and honor the life of a soldier. It's about teaching the younger generation about the value of service. It's about coming together as a community to show our appreciation.

Wreaths Across America relies heavily on volunteers to carry out its mission. Without the help of many dedicated individuals, it would be impossible to reach the hundreds of veterans' cemeteries around the country.

I urge everyone to consider volunteering on December 16th, through the laying of remembrance wreaths and saying the name of each veteran aloud, it is a meaningful way to give back to those who have given so much.
