His Hands Church in Woodstock exemplified the spirit of community partnership and support through recent projects on the ACTIVE Academies campus. The church enhanced the campus environment by revamping the teacher workroom with functional meeting spaces, coffee, and updated decor.
This project demonstrated His Hands’ commitment to the academic community and provided teachers with a revitalized space to foster creativity and collaboration. His Hands Church has played an important role in contributing to the overall well-being and appreciation of the educators on the ACTIVE Academies campus.
Additionally, His Hands Church extended its outreach to address the issue of food insecurity for students on the ACTIVE Campus and throughout Cherokee County by helping to establish a food pantry at the school. The food pantry will ensure student’s needs are met so that education can be the main focus during their day. This food pantry will also provide students with essentials to foster a sense of belonging and care at ACTIVE Academies and throughout Cherokee County.
His Hands Church, which showcased a commitment to the success of students and educators at ACTIVE Academies, has become a supportive Partner in Education and plays a crucial role in contributing to the local academic community.

Cherokee Impact Soccer (Cherokee Soccer Association) truly lives up to their name, as they are making quite the impact on the students of RM Moore STEM Academy. They just recently finished up session one of their yearlong commitment to RM Moore’s Soccer Club. Each Tuesday about 50 students from 2nd through 5th grades work with coaches from Cherokee Impact to build on basic soccer skills as well as play mini games among each other. This program is offered by Cherokee Impact FREE of charge to RM Moore students who might not otherwise be able to play a team sport. Not only do they learn the rules and play of the game, but they also practice celebrating one another, good sportsmanship and leadership skills. RM Moore is thrilled to continue this partnership!
The Falany Performing Arts Center at Reinhardt University recently hosted RM Moore STEM Academy’s 2nd through 5th grade students on their field trip to watch a performance of The Nutcracker. This is the second year in a row that the FPAC has offered up its facility to the school and students to allow them the opportunity to enjoy the arts in their own backyard. The FPAC funded the facility cost and transportation was funded through the school’s PTA, so this wonderful opportunity was offered free of charge to students. RM Moore is so appreciative of the Falany Performing Art Center’s efforts to foster a love of the arts in the students.

Duane Jones, Foundation Financial, (pictured above) is always willing to help any way he can, even if that means wearing a Grinch or Turkey costume! From donating donuts and certificates monthly to homerooms with the best attendance to showing up on the first Friday of the month in AMAZING costumes for High Five Friday, he goes above and beyond to show his love and support while continuing to keep smiles on the student's faces!
The school also work closely with Zip Cain (pictured below) and the awesome team at SERV International. They have provided massive amounts of cereal, macaroni and cheese and ramen noodles that has stocked the Care Closet for the past two school years. Mr. Cain works tirelessly to make sure the Care Closet stays well stocked so that the students are provided with food over the weekend through the weekly bookbag program. Their efforts do not go unnoticed at Ball Ground and they are forever thankful for their love and support!

Blue Sky's innovative approach to the staff incentives, exemplified by the "Happy Cub Carts" initiative, has added a delightful touch to our school environment. Their commitment to providing themed appreciation snacks, treat bags with engaging staff games like "Pumpkin in your Pocket?", and ongoing support truly sets them apart. They have even worked on the school's Little Library community box to keep it in good repair.
While Blue Sky Systems is renowned for its focus on tangible security and safety for homes and businesses, their collaboration with Avery Elementary extends beyond, contributing to a different kind of security and safety that goes above and beyond expectations, leaving a far-reaching positive impact.

When Teasley MS approached Cherokee Impact (Cherokee Soccer Association, Scott Craven, Cherokee Impact Soccer) and asked them to consider bringing their soccer program to the middle school, there was no hesitation. Cherokee Impact understands the crucial influence their program has on the students, whether elementary or middle school level. They are committed to investing in the community they serve by coordinating with schools to provide programs that will develop students' self-esteem, athletic skills, and sense of belonging. TMS is so fortunate to be the recipient of their generous giving.

The Holly Springs Police Department has been a steadfast presence at Holly Springs Elementary STEM Academy’s school events, serving as dedicated crossing guards and actively engaging with their students. Their commitment is evident through their participation in various activities, including the Fall Festival, Thanksgiving Luncheon, and reading sessions with their kids. Holly Springs greatly appreciates their partnership and the positive impact they bring to their school community!
Between October and December, the Cherokee County Chamber's Education Committee held their annual School Supply Express event, collecting school supplies to donate to the Title 1 Schools in CCSD. School supplies, such as dry erase markers, notebooks, pencils and tissues were collected at the Good Morning Cherokee events and throughout the community at local Chamber Member businesses. They were then boxed up and delivered to the local school by committee members, in the hopes of providing students with what they might need after returning from Winter Break. Thank you to all the committee members and businesses for their support in a successful School Supply Express 2023! |
