Celebrating New Beginnings in 2024

As we prepare for Christmas this week, I find myself feeling incredibly grateful for 2024!

This last year was filled with new beginnings! We successfully walked through a name change and a rebrand as we became Evergreen Network in May. We have been overwhelmed with all of the positive feedback regarding our new look! We also began new initiatives for planter care, planter development and project management in 2024, with plans to expand on each of these in the New Year.

Thank you for your partnership and encouragement. Your consistency and faithfulness has allowed us to grow in so many ways this last year! It also allowed us to plant some new churches!

Counterculture Church in Portland celebrated their one year anniversary this Fall by hosting an art showcase. More than 450 people participated from around the city. Counterculture continues to engage the city and has doubled in size since last Fall!

Generations Church in Eugene launched last January and has exceeded expectations in every way. Salt Co, their ministry to students at the University of Oregon continues to share Jesus with hundreds of students each week.

One Church launched in the heart of Seattle in September as a beautifully diverse community of 20-somethings. Their dinner parties continue to bring in new people to their young church. They are one of just a couple of churches that meet in the international district of the city.

What is most exciting about these three churches is the combined 75+ baptisms! That is why we do what we do. Real. Life. Change.

Five New Churches in 2025!

2024 was a strong recruitment year for Evergreen as we have several new works in process. The following churches will all hold their first public worship services in 2025. Thank you for your partnership that is making these new churches a reality!

United Church • Caldwell, ID • January 12th

Mario and Jamie Romero have been training leaders and discipling their initial house community for about 9 months. January 12th will be their first collective gathering. Please be praying for the Romeros and this new micro-church community as they continue to multiply in the Treasure Valley.

The Cove • Lakewood, WA • April 20th

EJ & Rachel Brown have been equipping their launch team for the last year and will begin weekly worship services with their core on January 19th. They plan to hold their first “public worship service” on April 20th (Easter). Please be praying for the Browns and this new work in one of the most diverse communities in WA.

Society Church • Portland, OR • September

Tim & Vanessa Coburn have a vision to establish a church where society, faith and life intersect. Their hearts are to create a space for people to explore faith and deep meaningful relationships with God and others. Be praying for this new church forming in PDX.

Odyssey Church • Tukwila, WA • October 5th

Zeb & Leah Greenfield have been developing a core team since early Fall. They move to full-time in January and will begin gatherings with their core in preparation to launch this Fall. Be praying for them as they establish a church of all nations in one of the most diverse communities in the country.

High Desert Church • Jerome, ID • Fall of 2025

John & Kimberly Kelley are being sent out from High Plains Church in Twin Falls, ID–– an Evergreen Network Church that launched just three years ago. They will plant a daughter church with a core also being sent out. Please be praying for this multiplying effort in small town Idaho. God is on the move in our rural communities.

Merry Christmas to all of you! "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in faith so that you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
