Reflecting on the 2024 Marin real estate market, one thing is clear: it was a year defined by nuance. The market wasn’t one-size-fits-all but uniquely property-specific, with buyers continuing to gravitate toward renovated homes that offer level land and exceptional outdoor spaces. In the luxury segment, discerning buyers thrived, buoyed by a robust stock market and cash-driven transactions, mainly immune to interest rate fluctuations. Year-to-date, single-family home sales in Marin County are up 7%, while the luxury market saw a significant rebound, with sales of $5M+ homes up 27%.

  • 34.8% (591 sales) were cash
  • 43.5% (739 sales) received multiple offers
