National Stress-Free Family Holiday Month

During this time of year, stress levels can rise, and we often put our mental health on the back burner. Let’s focus on self-care, mindful living, and strategies to reduce the stress that can accompany the holiday season. This month encourages us to prioritize our mental health, especially in the face of holiday demands. Rural Mental Health Resources

Around 60 million Americans live in rural areas, which offer both benefits like tranquility and community, as well as challenges such as isolation and limited mental health resources. Mental health in these regions is influenced by factors like stigma, access to care, resilience, and cultural perspectives. Additionally, technology, telehealth, and mindful living also play a significant role in supporting rural residents' mental well-being.

Mental Health America's Statement on the 2024 Election

Every four years, millions of Americans vote in the presidential election, along with other important federal, state, and local races. While many celebrate the outcomes, it's crucial to acknowledge that some are feeling loss and disappointment. Mental Health America’s work continues as we advocate for policies that expand access to mental health services, foster open conversations, and ensure everyone has the support they need, regardless of political affiliation.

Thank you for your continued dedication to improving mental health in our community. We look forward to connecting with you at these events and through our programs. Stay safe, healthy, and supportive of one another this holiday season.
