INVESTING FOR THE FUTURE OF CORAL GABLES

Please Welcome Our Newest Fund Holders

PV&J DIAZ FAMILY FUND

The Community Foundation is delighted to welcome new fund holders Rick Diaz, Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz and Jacob Diaz and announce their PV&J Diaz Family Fund. Miami natives, Rick and Vivian have been part of our Community Foundation family for many years now, giving of themselves and even hosting our first Rocks of the Community event in their home. In addition to their Coral Gables-based philanthropic contributions, they actively support the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Gulliver Schools and the Florida State University Board of Trustees.

ERIC P. GROS-DUBOIS FUND

We are delighted to announce the Eric P. Gros-Dubois Fund at the Coral Gables Community Foundation. Eric looks forward to using his charitable fund to further his already generous charitable endeavors. Eric joined the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2022 and its Professional Advisors Council in 2023. He founded EPGD Business Law in 2013 and is the current head of the firm’s corporate, estate planning, and tax practice, and manages the firm’s Miami office. The Community Foundation is grateful for Eric’s continued support and partnership.

IN THE NEWS

Copyright © 2024 Miami Today News

Miami Today recently featured Community Foundation President & CEO Mary Snow in an interview on Donor Advised Funds. A Donor Advised Fund provides a central vehicle for your charitable giving allowing you to direct your giving and receive maximum tax advantages, while we provide the back office and administrative support, necessary due diligence and required filings.

With a Donor Advised Fund, you receive an immediate tax deduction upon each contribution to your Fund and are not required to distribute a minimum amount annually as with a private family foundation. Your Fund may be established in your name, or in the name of your family, organization, or anyone you wish to honor.

COMMEMORATIVE BENCH PROGRAM

Bench Celebrates the Life of Edwin Brownell

Coral Gables resident Blanche Brownell celebrated her 90th birthday with the dedication of a bench in memory of her beloved, late husband, Edwin R. Brownell, near their home at the butterfly garden on Alhambra Circle and Granada Blvd.

Ed Brownell was a respected surveyor, businessman, and community leader. He served as president of the Country Club of Coral Gables (1992–1995) and received Certificates of Appreciation for his contributions to the city's Planning and Zoning Board and Board of Adjustments.

The Brownell family invites the community to enjoy the bench and welcomes others to honor loved ones through similar dedications in Coral Gables' parks.
