Holmes Bible College

December 2024

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Greenville!

November truly was a month of Thanksgiving for us. We are thankful for God's provision including good friends like you.

We were able to finish the fall term well on November 26. We had a special Thanksgiving meal and chapel with communion then sent the students home for the holidays. We are expecting at least three new students to join us in the New Year once we reopen for students on January 6.

At Holmes, our singular focus is training men and women for successful ministry. We do that with top quality education at affordable costs. That is possible largely because of your giving. Together we are preparing people for service in the Kingdom of God.

Please know that when we counted our blessings over Thanksgiving, you were among them. Your faithful support of Holmes is something for which we are always grateful.

Grace and Peace,

Rev. Kevin D. Sneed, President

and the HBC family

2024 Christmas Offering for Faculty and Staff

Thanks to your generosity, the 2024 Christmas offering for Holmes faculty and staff has reached $21,000. We are still praying for $9,000 more. Its not too late to give. In fact, today is "giving Tuesday" and a great day to get your gift in to bless our team who serve sacrificially throughout the year. Thank you for your gifts!

Vision For Education

Each year, the Women's Ministries of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church collect offerings for Holmes Bible College and present that offering every fall at a special event we call "Vision For Education" (previously known as the Feast of Ingathering). This year the event was postponed due to Hurricane Helene but the rescheduled program took place on November 18.

This year's event included a wonderful morning of music, testimonies, and prayer. Over 80 friends, students, and alumni gathered to celebrate and worship together. Three representatives from Women's Ministries attended including Whitney Davis (center above), the director for WM for the IPHC, Janice Marshburn from the North Carolina Conference (left above) and Allison Boggs from the Spirit Life Conference (right above).

Together, the ladies and churches of the IPHC collected just over $40,000 for Holmes Bible College. In addition, the congregation in attendance gave over $5,000 in an offering during the service. Every dollar received as part of Vision for Education is used to support the school to make our programs affordable for all enrolled students.

Afterwards we all enjoyed lunch and the fellowship carried on for several hours. It was a wonderful day on the corner of Old Buncombe Road and Leggett Way.

Repairs are ongoing as we repair and recover from Hurricane Helene. Pastor Dale Huff and the students have been working diligently.

We want to thank Beech Springs Church for sending us some great workers to help us in our restoration efforts. Many others have also volunteered their time and expertise.
