Warm Holiday Wishes from OneSource Center!
As we approach the end of another impactful year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the strides we’ve made together in supporting the nonprofit community—and to look forward with excitement to what’s on the horizon in 2025.
In 2024, OneSource Center remained committed to walking alongside our members, helping you strengthen your mission and maximize your reach. We are incredibly grateful for the new opportunities we’ve had to serve and empower nonprofits across the region, supporting causes that uplift, protect, and enrich lives. Each of you has brought a unique vision, passion, and dedication to creating a better community, and it has been our privilege to be part of that journey.
Looking ahead to 2025, OneSource Center is committed to enhancing the resources, services, and community-building opportunities that make our work possible. This means more robust training, specialized consulting, tailored leadership programs, and, most importantly, responsive support designed with your needs at the center. Our goal is to make your work not only easier but more impactful, giving you the tools to stretch your budget, grow your capacity, and truly thrive.
With the year to come, we envision a stronger, more interconnected nonprofit community—a space where every organization, regardless of size or budget, has access to the resources and support needed to reach their potential. Together, we will continue building a foundation for greater collaboration, shared learning, and sustainable growth.
Thank you for the dedication, hard work and heart that you pour into your work every day. From all of us at OneSource Center, may your holidays be filled with peace, joy, and hope for a brighter future. We can't wait to see what we'll accomplish together in 2025.
With Gratitude,
Christie

Never The Less, Inc: Empowering Futures with Love, Patience, and Support
Never The Less, Inc. is dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and empowering at-risk teen girls to walk confidently into their future. Since its founding twelve years ago, the organization has been a beacon of hope for youth, particularly underserved African American teens from lower-income neighborhoods. Many of these young individuals face significant challenges, including time in juvenile detention and a lack of social or job readiness skills. Despite these obstacles, Founder Doris Thomas describes them as "bright gems waiting to shine," and Never The Less, Inc. strives to provide them with the patience, love, and support they need to unlock their full potential.
The organization's work begins by meeting young people where they are. Regular visits to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center allow the team to connect with girls on the first Monday of each month and boys on the third Wednesday and Saturday. At their facility on Reading Road, Never The Less offers after-school programs that teach practical skills such as hair braiding, manners and etiquette, self-esteem, empowerment, beginning Spanish, and sewing. These initiatives are designed to equip youth with tools for brighter, more self-assured futures.
Like many nonprofits, Never The Less faces challenges, particularly with funding and transportation. Reliable transportation remains a key need, as it would enable the organization to expand its reach and impact more lives.
Collaboration has been integral to the organization’s growth, and Never The Less exemplifies the power of community partnerships. OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence has been especially pivotal in its journey. Through OneSource, Never The Less has accessed leadership development opportunities like EXCEL, which strengthened the team’s ability to lead effectively. Additionally, consulting services provided strategic guidance, while the Furniture Bank outfitted the Motivational Dream Center and supported new mothers within the community. Doris Thomas says: "OneSource has been more than just a resource for Never The Less—it has been a lifeline!"
As Never The Less continues its work of transforming lives and redefining its impact for Cincinnati’s youth, the organization remains deeply grateful for every partnership, donor, and supporter. Together, they demonstrate that no challenge is too great when a community unites to lift its most vulnerable members.

P & G Empowers OneSource Center to Help Nonprofits Build Capacity
Small nonprofits often lack access to the professional consulting support they need to thrive, but thanks to the Procter & Gamble Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, that’s about to change!
A $35,000 grant has been awarded to OneSource Center to make high-quality capacity-building consulting services affordable and accessible for 20-30 local nonprofits. This initiative makes grant funding available to small OneSource member agencies, enabling them to afford much-needed consulting support that would otherwise be out of reach.
As a result of this extraordinary support, participating nonprofits will gain tools to strengthen governance, elevate leadership, streamline service delivery, and achieve strategic clarity—all essential elements of lasting organizational impact.
Thanks to P&G’s investment, up to 30 Greater Cincinnati-area nonprofits will be better equipped to fulfill their missions and create meaningful change for the communities they serve. We thank them for believing in our ability to provide nonprofits with the essential supports they need to achieve their missions and make our region a better place to live and work.

Important Update for Nonprofits: Minimum Salary Levels for Exempt Employees Return to 2019 Levels
A federal district judge in Texas recently invalidated the Labor Department’s overtime rule that sought to raise the minimum salary level that white collar employees must be paid to remain exempt from overtime pay. The ruling strikes down both the higher salary level test that went into effect on July 1, 2024 and blocks the next change set for January 1, 2025. This has the effect of returning the minimum pay to the 2019 level of $35,568 per year ($684 per week). Nonprofits will no longer be required to adjust salaries of white collar employees to meet the higher salary thresholds.
The significance and impact of reverting to 2019 minimum salary levels for exempt employees are substantial for nonprofits, particularly given their unique financial and operational challenges.
